March for Action on Climate Change

We're teaming up with Forest & Bird350 Aotearoa, Oil Free OtautahiOraTaiao: New Zealand Climate and Health Council and Canterbury Coal Action in a march for action on climate change.

MARCH WITH US to show our future government that New Zealanders take this issue seriously, and that we need to VOTE CLIMATE this election!

Meet at Deans Bush at 12.30pm on Saturday 13 September. We'll start the march at 1pm and walk down Riccarton Road to the giant inflatable dinosaur in Hagley Park!

In the case of bad weather we'll postpone until the next day (Sunday 14th).

ALL WELCOME. Costumes and banners are encouraged. We want to show that climate change affects EVERYONE, so be creative!

Bring your cameras and video cameras as footage from this march and other efforts of climate solidarity taking place around the country will be contributed to the Global People's Climate March organised by Avaaz, which is happening in cities around the world on September 21st (day after NZ elections).
